Sand Hill School works with bright children with dyslexia, language-based learning differences, attention and social challenges. K-6, expanding to k-8..Bright children who struggled in previous classrooms are making breakthroughs at Sand Hill School. In February 2011, Sand Hill School opened its doors to seven children. Teachers skillfully help students unlock the key to feeling happy at school and excited to learn. With at 6:1 student/teacher ratio, Sand Hill School serves students who show signs of a language-based learning differences, inattention, distractibility, ADHD or anxiousness related to academic tasks. The curriculum includes social-emotional learning and academic subjects. The school’s successful outcomes were immediately acknowledged in the community and by 2014 the student body has grown to 52 children in grades K-6, and will continue to expand to K-8. Sand Hill School serves bright children who struggle with learning differences, ADHD, anxiety, and who may be experiencing challenges socially. Sand Hill School is uniquely located just off the renowned Sand Hill Road where visionary venture capitalists brokered major deals and invested in the entrepreneurial spirit that is part of the Silicon Valley. Some of the most successful business people of our time have experienced learning disabilities and more. They learned that their strengths helped them to think ‘outside the box’ and see things that others might miss.
