Extreme provides the personal touch to help all our students succeed in school and beyond..Extreme Academy Extreme Academy is a unique learning experience that is a student centered program rather than a schedule driven school. The academic program is based around your student’s unique skill set, learning style, and pace. The social and emotional support provided is a direct outcome of the close-knit relationship that our small, intimate school culture fosters. A cultural emphasis is placed on leadership development as well as community service in order to prepare your student for successful living beyond their classroom career. Extreme Academy is serving 6th and 7th grade students starting fall 2015. Extreme Learning Center 1:1 Tutoring Extreme Learning's 1:1 Tutoring Program has a maximum ratio of one student per Academic Coach. Each student may be assessed using a California Academic Content Standards-based Assessment to target areas for improvement. Based on test results and parent/student goals, Academic Coaches will develop a specific learning plan for each student. This program is recommended for any student seeking individual attention and is highly recommended for students who are in danger of failing or who require tutoring in a high-level subject. Homework Lab For students who need mostly homework help. In the homework lab, Coaches will help students prioritize their homework needs and assist them in completing their daily work on-time and accurately. In addition, students will have computer and internet access as well as multimedia skill-building in Language Arts or Math. This skill-building will target grade-level skills to meet California State Standards. Small Group Academic Support This program is perfect for students seeking to fill educational gaps in their learning, or those who simply wish to stay on top of homework while advancing their standards-based learning at an individual pace. Each student will have a specific learning plan to meet parent and student goals, as well as target areas for improvements based on California Standards based content. The two hour session is designed to focus on homework help in the first hour and multimedia skill-building in the second hour; however, time may be used to focus on one activity depending on goals. This service has a 5:1 Student to Coach ratio and is recommended for student who can read well, need moderate help focusing, and are not in danger of failing. Home School Support Our Academic Coach will guide students through their independent study material, help them stay organized, review concepts, and prepare them for exams. Coaches may provide recommended grades; however, parents will remain the student's official "teacher". Extreme Learning is now an approved Vendor for Ocean Grove Charter School! Transportation Extreme Learning Center contracts with the Morgan Hill Unified School District & First Student to provide after-school transportation from Morgan Hill Elementary schools to Extreme Learning Center. Transportation is offered all school-year round, including Charter School Minimum Days, Once students arrive at the center, they may stay to use the facility until their session begins or until the designated pick-up time.
